Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Bria Cashdollar, and I am a sophomore Fashion Merchandising student at Kent State University. I am originally from Pennsylvania, but will be updating you on the latest styles of Kent’s fashion-forward students here this semester.
I was always one to experiment with my style and clothing choices, however, my love for fashion seemed to peak in high school when I really got into stepping outside of the box and wearing things that your typical high school girl wouldn’t normally wear. Yes, I was totally that girl that wore cute dresses, jeans with fancy tops and wedges were an almost every day occurrence. In my opinion, you can never be overdressed or overeducated, so why not go all out? Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand in my life, so dressing up, even in a casual manner, is something I take advantage of every single day.
I get asked a lot about what my signature style could be described as, and to be completely honest, I don’t really have one. I like to say that I am the perfect mix of preppy/girly/classic, and that Gossip Girl definitely influences a lot of my outfit choices today. If I see a look that I like, I go for it and create my own unique version. I love trying new things, wearing bright colors and making a statement (only in the best of ways, of course!) I love that fashion allows me to change my appearance from day-to-day without having to change who I am as a person, and getting to experiment with different styles and looks is something I love to do.
Rompers have been my obsession as of this summer, especially this one from Hommage that I snagged from a local boutique at home. I love that you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. For this look, I chose to pair it with some nude heels (total wardrobe staple), a fun, yet minimal statement necklace and my all time favorite Prada handbag that I am ohh so obsessed with! This lipstick is also one of my favorites (the color is called “Faux”), for it is the perfect light pink shade that provides just enough color and works for any season.
Now that you know a little about my lifestyle, I hope that you enjoy staying up to date on today’s fashion styles via my posts. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and opinions with you all as we journey through this new semester together here at Kent State.
