Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Briana and I am a sophomore studying Marketing and Fashion Merchandising at Sacred Heart University. I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru for the Spring 2016 Semester!
I have been into fashion for as long as I can remember. I was always playing dress up with my mom’s clothes, putting on her makeup and dressing up my dolls. I’m so happy that I can continue with my love for fashion now that I’m in college. I’m definitely a girly girl who loves color, sparkles and all things glam. However, you can also see me sporting neutrals as shown here.
While we all want to dress our best, I think it’s important to stay true to our own personal style and wear what makes us feel confident! I love this denim dress which is super cute yet comfortable. It’s a staple item in my wardrobe that can be worn in so many ways. For the winter, it’s all about layering in order to balance the cold weather outside with the warm indoors. For those extra chilly days, I styled the outfit with a warm faux fur vest and a comfy infinity scarf. Boots and booties are also a must have for this time of year! My booties are on trend and practical to wear for busy days on campus. Of course, I had to pair this outfit with my go-to metallic tote bag which is perfect for carrying all my books to class.
College students have this bad reputation for always wearing sweats and pajamas around campus, but I think that’s not necessarily the case. Walking around my college, I have found that college students are amongst some of the most fashionable people out there. I am so happy to showcase the stylish people I see around campus for this semester, as well as my personal style!
