Hello everyone! My name is Brianna Anderson and I am currently a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am so excited to be writing my first ever post for CollegeFashionista! I can’t wait to share my love of fashion with all of you!
At the University of Nebraska, you can find me in the Home Economics building: the place I like to call home. My major is Fashion Communications, which focuses on textiles, merchandising and fashion design as it is incorporated with communications and journalism. I absolutely love my major and all the involved projects I get to work on throughout the year in classes such as Videography or Color Studios. Not only is fashion my area of study, it is my passion!
To me, fashion is a way of expressing yourself. Some things in life may not be up to you, but how you dress yourself each day is something you can control. The way you dress is the way you chose to express yourself, and it’s so great to find styles that truly show who you are! One of my favorite quotes is from Coco Chanel: “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”
With winter upon us it is important to find outfits that are comfortable indoors that will keep you warm outside! My outfit consists of a navy and brown dress paired with a fun brown belt. To keep warm I’ve layered a plum peacoat over the dress. The gray over-the-knee socks give additional warmth and style to the adorable (and weather appropriate) boots. This outfit is not only practical but cute and comfortable…a perfect combination for a cold winter!
