Hey! My name is Brianna, I’m new to the CollegeFashionista team. Just a couple facts about me: I was born in New Jersey but raised on Long Island, I’m a sophomore at Monroe College working towards an Associates in culinary arts and a Bachelors in hospitality management. I love to dance, I’m a major foodie and I’m always looking for a new adventure to go on. Also, 98 percent of the time you’ll catch me in a pair of sneakers.
Every person’s style is a representation of who they are. I would describe my style as tomboy with just a hint of girly. For example, I could rock a dress and some jewelry with a pair of Converse, Jordan’s, Vans or adidas. Although there are some occasions where I’ll put on the one pair of booties I own. I’m not that big on accessorizing but I do have my staples. These include a watch that I always wear on the wrong side, a bracelet and a hair tie. In my opinion, matching is the best way to tie an outfit together. The way I tie my outfit together by matching is when my sneakers are matching either my shirt or jacket. Express your style through your threads however that may be.
Style or fashion for that matter has no rules. Be comfortable and confident. Even on laundry day when you get fully dressed, look in the mirror and you’re not sure about what you just threw on, be confident; pretend you did it on purpose.
