Hello CollegeFashionista! My name is Brittany Maniet and I will be a junior at Point Park University this upcoming semester. I am a journalism major looking into a career of broadcast journalism. While at Point Park, I also am on the Cross Country and Track and Field team.
I have always loved writing. In high school I developed I love for journalism after taking the writing and editing class as my elective. I took a print class which allowed me to be a writer and editor for our school paper. I took that love and decided to make it my major when I decided to attend Point Park. Since my freshman year I have worked on many publications to help build my journalistic portfolio and get my work out there.
CollegeFashionista has helped me do just this. Since starting in the summer of 2014 and then returning last semester for the winter/spring semester, I have been able to write all about my fashion and the styles around my campus. Fashion is something that has always been a big part of my life. I started designing clothes at age 10 wanting to become a designer some day. I realized that I loved writing about fashion more.
You can find me taking pictures of my looks for my Instagram, writing about my fashion and how I style some of the latest trends. I even take inspiration by watching YouTube videos to get the latest beauty and fashion trends from some my favorite YouTubers.
Through this summer semester I hope to share many of the latest trends I’ve been seeing. Hoping to give you my advice on easy ways to recreate some looks and give you inspiration on what to wear.
