Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Brittany Maniet and this will be my third semester interning for CollegeFashionista. I’m so excited to be back! I attend Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At Point Park I study journalism in hopes to work in the field of broadcasting or magazine writing. I am a part of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams there as well. Go Bison!
Ever since I was little, I had always had a love for fashion. I used to sketch out designs and try to create outfits with my little sewing machine my parents had bought for me. I was obsessed with the show Project Runway. Each week I would try and create or sketch out the outfits that the contestants were challenged to make that week. However, when high school rolled around my dream of become a fashion designer soon switched to wanting to be in the world of journalism. Ever since then I have been focused on that. I hope to be able to take my two passions of fashion and journalism and be in a career like fashion journalism.
By being a part of CollegeFashionista, I have been able to do just that. On here I am able to display my sense of style and fashion. I love writing articles showing my readers the latest trends that I’ve been loving. As well as getting to display my college campus and the Fashionista/o’s that I find all over.
If I were to describe my style in a few words it would be simple, classic, boho and preppy. I used to in high school lean more toward the preppier side. However, since college has come around I have found myself loving the more boho relaxed styles from places like Free People, ASOS and Anthropologie. That is what I tried to inspire these pictures around for my bio. It takes some of the latest trends and is styled in a way that is more boho and classic.
I’m very excited for this new semester to begin! I hope you all come back to read up more on the trends and styles I’ve been loving. Have a #RAD day!
