Hi Fashionistas/os! This is my first semester joining the CollegeFashionista team and I am super excited to get started! On top of being a Style Guru, I also am a senior at Towson University studying exercise science.
I know what you’re thinking: what does fashion have to do with exercise science? Well the answer is it doesn’t. Although my major is not in any way apart of the fashion world, fashion is in my blood! I grew up a shopaholic along with my partner in crime, my mother. She has definitely been a major influence on my style. I remember being a little girl following her around all the department stores as she dressed me in all the finest! My mother is without a doubt a firm believer in dressing in all black because you cannot go wrong; when in doubt black out! If anything I am her mini me because I love to dress in all black. You know what they say, “like mother like daughter.” I will always chose all black as a go-to because it always feels so chic and cool girl edgy, which is totally my style!
Another go-to that I always find a way to incorporate in any outfit is leather. I have so many pairs of leather leggings, pants, tops with leather detail and leather jackets. The first look I chose to share with you is one of my favorite everyday looks. Wearing a leather jacket over a crop top or muscle tee with a skater skirt is easy to wear anywhere from on campus to out on the town. This outfit definitely shows you that I am a baby of the ’90s, but don’t be fooled by this outfit because I love to dress up as well!
My all time favorite part of fashion is the shoes! I am a true shoe lover. I believe that if you can wear a pair of heels to your destination then you should always wear a pair of heels; yes I am known as that girl. As any true shoe lover you know that I must have a job at a shoe store for the discounts! I have worked at the ALDO in the Towson Town Center for two years now, but don’t worry I will always have time to help out my fellow Fashionistas/os!
I cannot wait to get started and to show you all I have to offer! Like I said, I truly love fashion and I hope I can influence all my Fashionistas/os to get styling!
