Hello everyone! My name is Brittney Wojcik and I am super excited to be a Style Guru for this upcoming semester! I look forward to sharing the trends from my campus and exploring the trends from yours. I am currently a sophomore at Western Michigan University studying Marketing with minors in Fashion Merchandising and Spanish.
Fashion has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From playing dress up, to creating outfits for my American Girl Dolls to actually sewing my senior year prom dress, fashion has held a special place in heart for almost two decades. I love the ability to express myself through what I am wearing. The great Rachel Zoe said it best, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.”
Determining my style has been an ongoing struggle for me because I believe that it is ever-changing and extremely difficult to pinpoint exactly. To me, fashion is the most fluid art form and us Fashionistas/os can take inspiration from anywhere. Sometimes I’m feeling a little more girly, other days I may be feeling more edgy. The great thing about fashion is that this is completely acceptable and I am even able to mix the two. My outfit does just that, matching a powder blue dress with a leather jacket. Heels will forever be my weakness, so I added some nude strapped peep toe heels to complete my look.
I am using this winter break to revamp my wardrobe, as I’m sure most of you are doing, and I cannot wait to see all of the fun outfits you come up with!
