I’m Brooklyn Tracey—Miami, Florida born and raised, yet currently living in the midst of midwest suburbia just outside of Chicago, IL. Soon, I will be leaving all this behind as I find my new East Coast persona and pursue my career in the fashion industry at the University of Rhode Island this fall. Until then, you will get to know me as a street-chic loving, health and fitness obsessed 17 year-old.
My love for fashion was heavily influenced by the culture that surrounded me growing up in Miami. “Miamians” value their appearance and prioritize style more so than your average American. Throughout middle school, I repped Tory Burch Reva’s and matching headbands with my uniform and milked my parents for my first Marc by Marc Jacobs bag at the age of 13. I was constantly on Polyvore putting together looks and counting the days until the Teen Vogue September issue was released. To this day, I never leave the house without my pearl earrings or freshly glossed lips. Looking back, this was just the beginning.
My style is a harmonious expression of chic, edge and class. My romper and wedges can be dressed down or up and are without a doubt the perfect staples for this coming season. Paired with the two is my favorite New York City find, a tiger print clutch that looks absolutely stunning among vibrant colors such as this pop of red. You could find me sporting this look at a summer cocktail party or celebratory event, which seem to come in abundance this time of year!
Today, I hold a true passion for looking and feeling good. Somedays, a pair of Manolo’s and mirrored Dior sunnies can do the trick. However, I have dedicated my life to treating my body just as Anna Wintour treats her Chanel tweed blazers—with love and respect. I believe in balance. I eat Laduree pistachio macaroons when my heart wants it and Dean & Deluca kale salads when my body needs it. I spend my mornings sweating, days studying and nights living.
Follow me as I share my love for edgy street style, everything feminine, hidden gems and passion for not only looking fab, but feeling it too.
