Hey everyone! My name’s Caitlin, but Catie works just fine, too. I am currently a junior at Indiana University Bloomington where I am majoring in apparel merchandising with a minor in business. I’ve always had a love for fashion, but it wasn’t until I began college that I knew I wanted to pursue a career involving it. I am so excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this semester and have the opportunity show looks that inspire me and hopefully give others some inspiration!
My wardrobe currently consists of blacks, grays, whites, and some dark greens and blues are thrown in there as well. Black, skinny jeans are an absolute staple in my book because of how simple yet diverse they really are. However, I am trying my best to branch out into the world of color, and this fuzzy, blue sweater is one of my many attempts to incorporate some lighter, pastel pieces into my closet. I am also not one to wear bold prints, but I think the best way to make an outfit more exciting and interesting is to add some texture, and I think this cardigan does the job perfectly. To add some layers for this winter weather, I paired it with a plain, white long-sleeve T-shirt to keep the blue cardigan the main focus.
Who can go wrong with a pair of black booties? They can be dressed up when going out for the night or just tie a look together during the day. The pair shown here are from H&M, and they are the most comfortable pair that I’ve ever owned! As far as accessories go, chokers definitely made their comeback from the early 2000’s this year, and this cool toned, wrap-around choker adds more attention to detail to the outfit. Rings are probably my favorite accessories to wear as they could range from statement to dainty but complement the look greatly.
