Hello, fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m thrilled to be on board for my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. As a sophomore at Temple University, I look forward to finding the latest and greatest trends in such a diverse setting and sharing them with you. Although I only have one semester under my belt, CollegeFashionista has helped me broaden my horizons within social, writing and, of course, style aspects.
I have always known fashion was something important to me, but it wasn’t until very recently that I realized I could be fashionable just like the trendy girls I would RePin on Pinterest. Being a college student, I’m always on a budget. Besides a few necessities (a solid pair of shoes, the perfect pair of jeans and good jewelry), I’m saving my money as best I can. In high school, I would buy items because they were cheap or on sale, not necessarily because I was in love with them. Now, I know that, while shopping might take me a little longer, it’s more fun when you leave the store with bags filled with clothing you cannot wait to wear.
My sense of style is always evolving, but in my eyes, that’s the only way to do it. Sure I have my go-tos (who doesn’t?) but it’s fun to constantly switch up what you wear. If you told me last year that I would purchase a floppy hat and wear it around my campus confidently, I wouldn’t have believed you. Now, I love it! An oversized hat is a great staple to throw on when the sun is persistent or maybe when your hair just isn’t cooperating.
I’m so excited to start my second semester with CollegeFashionista and I cannot wait for you to learn more with me as I begin my second year at Temple University. Make sure to check back every week to see the latest, most RAD students featured!
