Hey there fashion lovers! I’m a first year grad student from Chicago and I’m so excited to be a Style Guru for a third semester. I’ve learned so much more about photography, social media and fashion than I could have imagined. I’m super excited for all of the rad things in store this time around.
Besides school, I’m a wedding stylist at Nordstrom and also am doing marketing for ShopAKIRA. My goal after graduating is to work in fashion marketing, but my real passion is in special occasions fashion. Ultimately, I plan to own my own special occasion attire store, specializing in prom and pageant!
My style focus right now is on accessorizing. If you read my last bio and were following me this summer on social media, you’d know that I purged my closet of all accessories and worked to rebuild the collection. I think I have a good amount now and am ready to wear it. This semester, I’ll be showcasing that and also scoping out what is trending in Roosevelt University street style, especially the accessories. There’s always a new style tip to pick up from a stylish Fashionsta/o.
Right now in Chicago, we’re experiencing warm weather, but it is definitely the beginning of our transition into fall. I’m not ready to put away my summer fashions. That’s why I’m slowly transitioning my wardrobe into fall appropriate clothes.
To get my look, take your trendy summer off-the-shoulder top and pair it with your favorite denim. I chose distressed denim because it seems to always be on-trend no matter the season. It’s still warm enough, so add your strappy sandals. Top it off with a fall staple piece. I added a floppy hat, but you could pair it with anything, like a long vest!
Check back here every month for new posts. I’ll be showing you the best of the best of fashion at RU. Oh, and don’t forget to give me a #RAD!
