Hello darlings! My name is Carly, and I am a sophomore at Clemson University. Growing up in a small town, fashion surprisingly played a large part of my life! Fashion was something I used to express my personality throughout high school and on into college! This is my first semester with CollegeFashionista, and I am so honored and excited to be a Style Guru! I have a strong passion for fashion, beauty, and fitness and I cannot wait to share all of my ideas and concepts with the CollegeFashionista family throughout this semester!
One thing that I have noticed about myself over the years is that my style has completely changed! Throughout high school I went for a more preppy look filled with lots of bright colors, and I can’t forget about the over-the-top accessories! As time went on and I went to college, I noticed myself grabbing for more neutral and dark colors when I went shopping. One of my favorite pieces of clothing I own is a simple over sized gray V-neck that I purchased from Forever 21. I can wear it with some ripped jeans and Converse, or go for a more athletic look and throw on some patterned leggings and Nikes. This has always been my go-to shirt, and it can work for everyone! I would say my style now is a comfortable, trendy kinda look. Comfort is always key for me, and I am also into texture! The first thing I think about before putting together an outfit is how comfortable is this outfit going to be in about two hours?
For this outfit I squeezed into my favorite black, ripped jeans and a comfy, white V-neck with accent straps crossing the chest. I layered it with an army green bomber jacket to keep me warm, and my favorite Adidas sneakers! My everyday jewelry includes two hammered bangles and a stamped ring that can be found on Etsy!
