Hi friends! The name’s Scheinfeld—Caroline Scheinfeld. You may know me better as an avid writer, artist and dog enthusiast. This season marks my first semester as a Style Guru as well as the beginning of my adventures through academia at Drexel University. I could not be more ecstatic to share my ride-or-die style tips along with gaining insight from the other incredible talented writers here on CF.
As a born-and-bred Philadelphia girl, I’ve been obsessing over fashion ever since I was tall enough to see into the window displays of Rittenhouse Square. I’d spend hours upon hours modeling in front of my bedroom mirror imagining that I was strutting down a glamorous runway in Milan. Long gone are the days of dress up and costume trunks, but the little girl begging to wear her adored tutu and heels to school never quite left.
With my classes commencing mid-September, I absolutely had to use this opportunity to showcase my favorite ways to transform some staple summer pieces into an autumn look fit for any fashionista/o. For today’s outfit, I’ve chosen a cropped long-sleeve tee and denim overall dress. This combination is super cute and most importantly, comfortable. These little suede booties are perfect for running across campus and the cream knit socks add a nice contrast to the otherwise cool-toned neutrals. Of course, no outfit is complete without a drip of gold. My accessories are all thrifted and add the perfect finishing touches to tie everything together. Throw your hair back into a messy braid and viola! You are ready to slay the day from head to toe.
Now let’s show this semester who’s boss. With a cup of cold brew and a good pair of boots, you are guaranteed success.
