Hey y’all! My name is Catie Beth Bowman and I am a senior (wait, what?) at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. I am majoring in Business/Human Resources and have a passion for fashion. I hope to work on the business side of the fashion industry after graduation. This is my first year writing for CollegeFashionista and I am thrilled to begin my journey and to incorporate what I have learned though my blogging experiences so far.
Ever since I was a little girl, I haven’t gone a day without layering bracelets and wearing diamond stud earrings. I have always been a girly-girl and find the fashion industry thrilling. I started blogging in January and love having an outlet to express my creativity and fashion inspirations on a regular basis. In addition to blogging, I have a weak spot for shopping, traveling and planning. My dream is to attend Fashion Week in Paris—and then get offered a job and move there—and spend my time shopping and exploring the city.
My style has matured over the years, and I have changed from head to toe preppy to a trendy, preppy, boho look. I believe you can never have too many pairs of pearl studs, hot pink should be considered a neutral and, when in doubt, “buy the shoes.” My go-to summer look is a solid top, extravagant statement necklace, pearl studs, high-waisted shorts and Jack Rogers. To make this more nighttime appropriate, I would swap the shorts with dark jeans and sandals with wedges. I love adding a pop of color to my outfit and also using makeup to help transform it.
Being a part of CollegeFashionista, I will be able to share my take on trends and styles as they continue to develop. I can’t wait to get started!
