Hi lovelies! My name is Chaise Brown. I am a freshman studying fashion journalism at Meredith College. Ever since I can remember I have always had a fondness for art, but especially fashion design and sketching. I remember when I was younger drawing all the clothes I wanted on line paper with boxy figures and coloring them in with those huge chunky crayons.
However, as I grew older I began to fall increasingly in love with writing and the editorial process of reporting on the latest fashions. Along with writing, my heart expanded even more for photography. I feel so excited to be a part of this internship with CollegeFashionista because it allows me to do more of the things I love, on a topic I have always looked at as a form of art.
Fashion breaks us out of the boxes and categories that society tends to put people in. We can be casual chic one day, and then fabulous in faux fur the next simply depending on our mood. And that’s what I love most about fashion, is that it allows us to exist in the many different versions of ourselves.
So, for this look I decided to do some print mixing! I paired this plaid shirt with a tribal print cardigan and accessorized using the lace-up knee high boots and black bookbag with suede detailing. Because of all the crazy patterns I kept jewelry to a minimum.
I hope you all love it! To stay updated with my posts, make sure to follow all my social media!
