Bonjour beautiful Fashionista/os! My name is Chelsea White, otherwise known as trendychelsea! I am currently a sophomore Journalism and Communications major at UMASS Amherst and am so very thrilled to be taking on this internship as a Style Guru for the summer!
I have always taken a liking to clothing and fashion, but I absolutely fell in love with it my senior year of high school, which inspired me to start my own fashion blog. If I could leave one mark on the fashion world, I would like to demonstrate how there are no limits to style. How you dress today does not determine how you have to dress tomorrow. Express yourself and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone!
I would describe my style as… all over the place. Literally. Growing up, my parents would laugh at how I could never commit to one style. I was down-right girly one day and down-town skater the next. Today I went with a chicer upscale look, courtesy of my favorite faux fur vest. I paired that with a black and white striped A-line dress from Wet Seal and my favorite lace-up suede booties. To finish the look I added a statement necklace with faux pearl detailing. I adore this look because depending on the time of year you can add black tights, and you’re good to go for a chilly night out!
Someone once told me to dress for the life you want to live and ever since I have lived by those words. Want to live a glamorous life? Let your clothes reflect that and remember, clothe yourself with confidence. That is the most flattering look overall. Rester à la mode!
