Welcome, all you beautiful Fashionisto/as, to my page! My name is Chelsea, a.k.a. TrendyChelsea, and this is my second semester as an intern for CollegeFashionista! I’m super excited for this semester since my photos, writing and overall content will improve. I hope you’ll keep coming back each week to see my new articles!
I first fell in love with fashion when I was 18. I started watching blogs from people, like Bethany Mota and Aspyn Ovard, and loved the way they could just sit in front of a camera and talk about different clothing pieces without me getting even a little bit bored. I quickly started and became devoted my fashion blog. This, of course, led me to apply to be a Style Guru and I’ve loved it ever since!
I think fashion is very powerful; it gives us the power to be whoever we want to be! Want to look like a hipster today? You have the power to do that. A diva tomorrow? Nothing is stopping you. The rules are meant to be broken and it’s up to you to do it. Learning to express yourself through your style is something I love to emphasize to anyone and everyone who wants to be a Fashionisto/a. My only rule? Wear it with confidence. Why just turn heads when you can give whiplash?
That being said, it’s not hard to imagine that my style is a little bit all over the place. The greatest compliment I’ve ever gotten is that I can pull off most everything. I like to have variety in my closet, so that everyday is a new opportunity to create an outfit like no other. For this specific outfit, I wore a black and white striped skirt from Express, a “CoCo Made Me Do it” graphic tank top and some adorable lace-up black wedges. I loved how all of the pieces were black and white because it made my nail polish pop! This would be an awesome outfit for going out to a fancy dinner and dancing!
What are you still reading this for? Close your computer and get to your closet; you have outfits to construct! Can’t wait to talk again, xo!
