Hey everyone! My name is Christianna Murray and I attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for fashion design, and I am so excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this spring semester! I am a bridal assistant for a bridal boutique in Pittsburgh. I love all aspects of fashion from the business to creative side. It is all exciting and I am happy to be pursuing something that I love. My dream job would be eventually having my own line, but until that day comes I would like to work for a fashion company.
I find most of my inspiration from runway shows, street style photographs on Pinterest, and of course on Instagram. I think fashion is all about experimentation and wearing whatever you think you look good in. Here in Pittsburgh spring doesn’t always mean cute skirts and tops, but instead bundling up and keeping warm.
Two of my style icons are Rihanna and Iris Apfel. They are two totally opposite people but they wear whatever they want to wear and they rock it. I also love icons like Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe. I find their style sophisticated and overall classic.
Experimenting with different styles is something that I enjoy doing. I like dressing for my mood, so one day I can be crazy for florals and lace, and the next day I want to wear all black and a leather jacket. Nothing is off limits when it comes to wearing clothing.
I am looking forward to being a Style Guru and showing everyone how stylish Pittsburgh can be!
