I may not have realized it at first, but fashion is something I have always loved. Ever since  I was a little girl, I loved to get dolled up for special occasions. Whether it was a holiday or a friend’s birthday party, picking out an outfit to wear was one of the best parts. Still today, I look forward to getting dressed up, even if it is just for lunch or going to class.
My name is Christina Kizeik and I am studying business here at Duquesne University.
After completing my first semester, I realized that what I wear and how I present myself had become more important to me. The university has so many diverse students with different styles, and what better way to share this than through CollegeFashionista!
I don’t have a particular style that can be categorized. I’m always up to try new things and find what looks good on me. I love thrifting because I can find so many unique pieces, but I also like to keep up with the new trends. Forever 21 and H&M are go-to stores for me where I get not only clothes, but shoes and accessories. When I’m in a rush, you will most likely find me in denim or leggings with a cozy sweater and stud earrings. But when I have time to, I like to add some more accessories, like a hat or necklace, and be a little more creative. One of my new favorites for the winter is this thin turtle neck with a light comfortable cardigan. Also, cute shoes, like these booties, are one of my favorite things to buy. Sometimes, they can make or break an outfit.
With that said, I’m looking forward to being a Style Guru intern with CollegeFashionista this spring semester! I’m also excited to meet new people, snap some photos and learn a little bit about them and their style. I find fashion to be fun and interesting. There’s no right or wrong; you are showing yourself through your style, and that is what makes fashion so unique! Everyone is different and I can’t wait to show you Fashionistas/os what Duquesne students have to offer. Hope you enjoy my posts!
