Hi there fellow Fashionista/os! My name is Christine Orzechowski and this is my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. Being on the CollegeFashionista team this past semester has had such a positive impact on me. I am eager to see what new learning experiences and adventures a wait!
Since starting my internship here, my style has definitely developed and narrowed into a more specific style category. My main source of inspiration comes from thrift shopping and picking out articles of clothing that mirror a ’90s-esque aesthetic. I have a passion for trend-setting while still incorporating some mainstream elements into my outfits. My favorite trends as of right now include platforms, jean jackets, velvet and chokers.
The key to defining your style is being different. Knowing how to incorporate an array of elements, such as textures, patterns and cuts will give you an edge. For me, I tend to mix different elements for a quirky, yet edgy look. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone when experimenting with your style, chances are, you’re making a statement! Getting inspiration from fellow Fashionista/os is a great way to build your style as well.
This next semester with CollegeFashionista will be another positive experience that I am excited to start! Featuring my fellow colleagues this past semester has been a rewarding experience that I am lucky to be pursuing again. Make sure to check out my articles for more inspiration and remember to style on!
