STYLE GURU BIO: Christine Orzechowski

Hi Fashionista/os! I cannot believe I am writing my fourth and final Style Guru bio for CollegeFashionista. I find it fascinating to see how I have grown throughout this internship and how my style has evolved overtime as well. For those of you who are not familiar with me, I am a creative based in Missouri for university, but hail from the Windy City of Chicago. I spend my free time in coffee shops diligently writing on a deadline and thinking about my next creative endeavor.

Every semester, my style slightly changes which I enjoy documenting through my Style Guru CollegeFashionista posts. With the new year, my style change is wearing longer sweaters. As you may have seen in my previous post, our Fashionista was rocking a long sweater jacket! I got inspired by her and decided to incorporate my own long sweater in my featured outfit.

Throughout college I have experimented with different trends in order to really define my style, and interning with CollegeFashionista has helped me feel confident in my style decisions. The one essential piece that never lets me down and that I live by are my high-waisted mom jeans. These jeans are a controversial topic nowadays, as they have made a return from the ’90s, but their comfortability and fit make it a staple in my closet.

I have always gravitated toward earth tones and I intend to keep that palette in my closet this semester. I am an avid supporter of black, hunter green, browns and dark blue jeans. As you can tell by my feature outfit, I enjoy mixing these colors together.

Throughout my CollegeFashionista journey, I have documented many Fashionistas wearing Doc Martens. I actually ended up getting myself a pair because so many Fashionistas inspired me! I am a firm believer that the most influential source of style and trends are friends and colleagues. My style has evolved overtime due to testing out different trends I have seen on the street and from Fashionista friends.

The opportunity to have another semester with CollegeFashionista is something I am very thankful for. I am excited to see how my style tweaks in certain ways this semester and am especially eager to document the styles of fellow Fashionista/os around campus!
