Hi! My name is Christy Dzubay and I’m currently a sophomore at Quinnipiac University. I’m an English major with a Psychology minor. I also have a concentration in Creative Writing. I’m currently also enrolled in a 5-year Master of Arts in Teaching program for Elementary Education, to follow my dreams of having an elementary classroom one day. However, I also love writing (hence my major in English), so I’m simultaneously working on doing that as much as possible and building a writing resume.
Fashion has always been something of interest to me. I would describe my own style as a mixture of preppy and classic, with an added element of comfort. I love preppy and high-end brands, but I also love to shop for great deals to find interesting and different pieces. My latest obsession has been makeup. I recently purchased the Naked 3 palette which I love, plus I’ve also been experimenting with different lipsticks like the NYX one that I’m wearing in the pictures.
This past semester, I became a sister of Pi Beta Phi! I absolutely love being involved in Greek life, even though it keeps me super busy alongside all of the other things I do on campus. Being a Pi Phi means attending a lot of chapter and social events, as well as events for our literacy philanthropy, so I always have to be prepared to dress for any kind of occasion! My go-to outfit in warmer weather is usually a Lilly Pulitzers shift dress with basic nude or silver shoes. When it gets colder, I dress down more often, usually with dark jeans, a sweater, and cute shoes/accessories, like in the pictures above. I love the Aerosoles shoes I’m wearing in these pictures, similar to these ones online. because they’re adorable, but also extremely comfortable.
I’m super excited to be a Style Guru this semester and to share all of the awesome fashion that I see on Quinnipiac’s campus all the time.
