Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m Claire Larkins and I’m so excited to be writing for College Fashionista for the fifth semester! I’m currently majoring in Graphic Design and Digital Studies, and have been involved in the school newspaper and fashion magazine as a photographer! It’s been great to work for CollegeFashionista for the last couple years, and I’m pumped to finally work during the summer to capture some great warm weather looks!
My personal style has really changed as athletic-chic has become more of a trend. I love jogger sweats, white sneakers paired with my leather jacket. When I’m going for something fancier, I love to wear my strappy black wedges with any color A-line skirt. I gravitate towards neutral colors usually, but for the summer season, I experiment a little more with different colors and patterns. Having warm weather in the Midwest seems like a pretty uncommon thing, especially in Wisconsin, so it’s exciting that I’ll be able to finally write about all the great fashion I find as I stay in Madison this summer!
I’m going into my fifth year at Madison and it’s true what they say about never wanting to leave. As I go into my last year, it will be amazing to document the campus by highlighting its artist talents and various Fashionistas/os. With Madison primarily being known for it’s excellent facilities in the sciences, CollegeFashionista has really provided me with a niche, allowing me to develop my love for fashion and journalism.
