Hi Fashionistas and Fashionistos!
I’m Claire Rundquist and I am so excited to be starting my first (summer) semester as a Style Guru Intern at CollegeFashionista! I am 19 years old, and just finished my sophomore year at Loyola University Chicago, where I am pursuing a double major in Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Marketing.
Similarly to most of you, I assume, fashion to me is not just what I throw on to go to class, or grab a bite to eat. It is a way to express myself artistically and portray particular moods and emotions that I may be feeling. That being said, I am all over the board when it comes to my personal style. The designers and brands in my closet cover a very wide range of styles and trends, from bright patterned Lilly Pulitzer dresses to black t-shirts and chokers from Hot Topic and everything in between. My wardrobe covers it all.  Some of my favorite designers are Chanel, Virgins, Saints, & Angels , Free People , Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent .
Although I have mostly all of my bases covered, I do particularly love one subcategory right now: girly-boho. This is exactly what I was channeling when I was getting dressed for a fun, summery, Sunday brunch in these pictures. I wanted to keep it light and airy with an all white dress, but still dress it up a bit with the embroidered flower details all over it. I chose to mix my metals with this look, wearing both silver and gold accessories and kept my hair and makeup natural for a more beachy, relaxed finish.
If you love this look as much as I did, shop my summer brunch essentials with these items: Orchard Beach Dress from Anthropologie, Alex and Ani silver bangles and quilted sandals from Tory Burch!
