My name is Clarke Smith, and I’m a Chicago girl living in the University of Tennessee’s world. I am so excited to be kicking off fall semester 2016 by being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. You can catch me on campus pursuing a degree in theatre while minoring in business. In my spare time, I enjoy a multitude of hobbies. Singing, yoga and make-up are my top three favorite things to do. I’m the type of girl who never strays from an opportunity to do something new and expand my worldview.
My style is just as seemingly different as my choices in academic fields and hobbies. Fashion allows a great sense of freedom when it comes to expressing yourself. My style follows how I’m feeling day by day. The University of Tennessee’s campus is filled with hills, so I try to incorporate sneakers into my daily looks to stay comfortable and ready to run to class. To be honest, I’ll sport track pants with a fitted cap and the next day I’m a full glamazon with A-line skirts and sparkles. It’s college, though, so who can blame a girl for occasionally rocking sweats?
I believe that fabulous looks come from people who own their fabulousness. During my time as a Style Guru, I aspire to highlight fashion that inspires readers to make brave choices. Let’s make this semester a fun one! Choose the cool hairstyle you’ve added to your beauty Pinterest board but have been too scared to try. Buy those printed pants that you have had your eyes on.
