Hello, all! My name is Courtney Donlan and I am from just outside of Chicago. Currently, I am embarking on my third year of studying Advertising at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, although I spent my last semester studying in Northern England (Leeds, to be exact) and traveling throughout Europe. Visiting so many different places was amazing and I was fortunate enough to see many new cultures and styles throughout Europe.
I have been interested in fashion for many years and love keeping up with my favorite designers and new, emerging trends. Even though my wardrobe is about 90 percent black (and I’m completely okay with it), I enjoy a wide range of styles and fashion designers such as Valentino, Elie Saab, Lanvin, Tom Ford and many, many more.
Although I am fascinated and inspired by many different styles, my own personal look is pretty classic. Especially on days when I’ll be spending a lot of time in class or studying, I like to go for a simple, comfortable look.
Today’s outfit is a prime example of what I would wear on a busy day of classes. I chose an incredibly comfortable pair of Paige Denim jeans with a ribbed, black T-shirt from Forever 21. I accessorized this outfit with my current favorite sunglasses from Urban Outfitters, a gold watch from Charming Charlie, two thin gold necklaces from a local boutique and a pair of gold and tan sandals from Target.
It was great being back on campus and I can’t wait for my upcoming semester as a Style Guru!
