Hey everyone! My name is Courtney Donlan and I’m super excited to be starting my second semester as a Style Guru! I’m currently a junior studying Advertising at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and I am from just outside of Chicago.
I’ve been interested in fashion for many years and love keeping up with different designers and trends. I enjoy a wide variety of designers and my favorites are always changing, but my current top labels to follow include Saint Laurent, Valentino, Reem Acra and Naeem Khan. Besides following these amazing designers’ collections as well as many others, I love keeping up with the many varieties of street style on campus, at home and while traveling.
In the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe while studying abroad in England and was able to experience a lot of amazing places, cultures and styles. As amazing as my time abroad was, the many students at the University of Illinois offer a great range of street style right here on campus.
Although I appreciate variety and excitement in fashion, my personal style consists of a lot of classic, muted looks. All I need are some nice pants, a few versatile tops and good accessories to put together my ideal wardrobe.
Today’s outfit is a great example of my day to day style. The pieces in this look include my favorite pair of dark wash jeans from Gap, a black shirt from Forever 21, my Dr. Martens boots and a furry bobble hat from Zara, all topped off with a fun pair of sunglasses and a simple purse.
