Fashion is significant in many ways. Fashion can inspire. Fashion can emit confidence. Fashion makes everyone unique.
Hi fellow Fashionista/os! My name is Courtney Larsen. I am a sophomore at Lake Forest College studying Business and Art. In my free time I study the culinary arts as well as nutrition and fashion. I would describe my style as classy and contemporary.
As a young girl I remember strutting up and down the outside patio pretending to walk the runway. Today I strut up and down various runways in front of hundreds of people wearing unique designs. Each design is confidently showcased and made from talented designers with their own image of ultimate beauty and creativity. With this said, I learned many things that I would like to share with you: Dreams can come true, to an extent at least. If you have a goal, putting in the hard work WILL pay off. Also, confidence is key. No matter how silly a design or outfit may be in one person’s opinion, when worn with confidence, anything can be pulled off to impress a crowd.
To every designer, his or her work is precious. This holds true for all of us. We are our own designers. We create outfits to reflect our different personalities. That is why fashion is a beautiful thing.
My word of advice is to emit confidence with every look because everyone is beautiful in his or her own way. As individuals we need to recognize self-confidence in order to “be strong in every facet of your life,” as quoted by fitness trainer, Jillian Michaels.
I feel that my classic style reflects this about me. In this week’s look I am wearing a black button-down shirt, dark wash bootcut jeans and simple wedge sandals.
