I’m a junior majoring in journalism at Columbia College Chicago with a passion for fashion! I love the influence that Chicago has had on my style and I’m excited to share it with you. This summer I will be spending part of my time vacationing in Washington and the rest working at a newspaper in Illinois, so I will have a variety of outfits to showcase, from work to play.
My style is a mix of everything. I love eclectic, cozy looks for the most part. I’m always searching for standout pieces to pair with my favorite basics.
I think that this outfit captures that eclectic, cozy style quite well. These high-waisted jeans from Urban Outfitters are my favorite. I can practically pair them with anything.
This shirt is also a long-time favorite of mine because there’s so many ways that I can wear it! I can wear it tucked into high-waisted pants, tied up into a crop top or I can just let it hang and it still looks flawless!
These Vans are one of my favorite standout pieces. While the pattern is fun and crazy, I can still pair them with most outfits. For me, most patterns are a neutral.
For my makeup, I decided to go for a natural look. I applied a little highlighter, blush, a dark red M.A.C. lipstick and decided to leave my eyes bare. I never like to apply both eye makeup and lipstick together.
