Hey, Fashionista/os! My name is Culleen Moser and this is my second semester as a fellow Style Guru.
I am halfway through my junior year University of Akron, studying fashion merchandising and minoring in marketing and sales technology. I was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio and find nothing brings me more happiness than spending a day in the city. I live and breathe for pop culture and the impact that it has on the world around us. If I’m not trolling for the latest fashion trends, I’m studying up on celebrity gossip like it’s my life’s mission. I am the youngest of four children and thrive on being my older sibling’s stylist. I am constantly moving around and love being busy. I refuse to talk to anyone without first having a cup of coffee and I hate breakfast. When it comes to my obsessions I say Gigi Hadid and Instagram are top contenders. Nothing satisfies me more than a quality Instagram post.
I am one to stay on top of trends, but being a college student on a budget forces me to add my own flare. Right now, I am into updating my shoe collection. I recently purchased a pair of suede over-the-knee boots and I am truly in love. I also have a huge obsession with anything kate spade. From my wristlet to all of my handbags, they are kate. I typically buy tops that are a size too big and will base my purchases off the way that fabrics feel. I never leave my apartment without some sort of necklace or bracelet on. I believe that fashion is the best way to make a statement without speaking. It conveys a message about who we are and how we would like the world to perceive us. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as being overdressed. You should always feel empowered and you should always wear what makes you feel just that.
There are so many truly brilliant minds that have left their mark on the world of fashion and I hope to do the same this semester with CollegeFashionista.
