Hello fellow Style Gurus, my name is Cydney Critchlow and I hope you are just as excited as I am to be starting the spring semester with CollegeFashionista! As a returning Style Guru, I know there are plenty of new trends out and about that need to be captured and I can’t wait to do just that throughout this semester!
I am now a sophomore at Kent State University studying fashion merchandising. I have already had some great opportunities under their fashion program that came about this year. I plan to go to Los Angeles after this semester to travel a little and continue to explore the world of fashion from a new city. I am hoping to keep studying abroad during my time at the Fashion School at Kent State to broaden my horizons in the fashion industry from all over… plus who doesn’t love to travel?
I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh has a lot to offer, along with some major fashion headquarters. The city has always been a place I love to be with all the shopping options, sight-seeing, etc. Pittsburgh is definitely one of my favorite places to be.
As far as my own personal style goes, I like to classify it as edgy yet classic. I am always drawn to black… it’s a classic! Black jeans are my go to; my closet is filled with a number of them. Typically, I pair them with some of my favorite tops depending on the season. And you can never go wrong with adding some simple, yet stylish jewelry to any outfit to complete it. My Style Guru pictures give you a little preview of my own personal style. Here I chose to wear a denim top with distressed black skinnies. I added a black chunky heel and one of my favorite necklaces to create this outfit. I hope you enjoy and continue to keep up with all my posts here!
