Hey everyone! My name is Daisy Mendoza and I am a new Style Guru intern for CollegeFashionista this spring. I currently go to California State University of San Bernardino as a business major. I guess you can say I’m your typical girly girl who loves to watch romantic and chick flick movies. I am an addict to shopping. If I’m not shopping at the mall, it’s because I’m probably shopping online. I tend to get really excited after we get near the start of every season. I think that each season allows you to change the way you express yourself, whether it’s having many different layers of sweaters and jackets in the winter or wearing a dress with some gladiator sandals in the summer.
I think my style would fall into the chic category. Having a “chic” style means many things. It represents someone who can look classy, elegant and put together, while still managing to be fashionable. Being fashionable doesn’t necessarily always mean wearing the latest fashion trends. It means wearing what you like and knowing what looks good on you.
I have many different favorite fashion items and wear different ones depending on the way I want to express myself that day. If I want to be bold, then I go for a red or dark lipstick and a statement jewelry piece. If I want to be more laid back and comfortable, then I’ll wear a neutral lipstick and wear items like a scarf or a pair of boots. Additionally, my favorite fashion items are dresses, skirts and a cute handbag.
I think everyone has a different and very unique style. I can’t wait to share mine with you Fashionistas/os.
