Hey! My name is Danelle. I am currently a sophomore student at the University at Albany (SUNY). I have a double major in business administration and communication with hopes of pursuing a career in the fashion industry. So, with this dream, it’s only right that I express myself through fashion. I have always been a person to take chances in my outfits. I have also found myself loving and dressing myself in several different types of styles including girly, grunge, ’90s fashion, bohemian, etc. I try new and different things in my outfits because that’s what fashion is all about.
This outfit in particular is more along the lines of ’90s fashion. The key piece to the outfit is the oversize and colorful windbreaker. The windbreaker has funky colors to represent the feeling of the ’90s. I paired the windbreaker with some baggy, patched jeans and a pair of simple white, lace-up sneakers. The patches on the jeans also show the funky and different style of the ’90s, while the simple white sneakers tie everything together and add in a clean and modern touch. I also added in gold, hoop earrings into the look. Finally, in terms of my makeup, I decided to keep it very simple and add a pop of color on my lips. I combined a burgundy lipstick with a dark blue lipstick in order to create the deep purple lipstick color that you see.
With all of these things combined, I created a funky ’90s look for a modern day girl. It is very authentic, while also being simple and modern. That is exactly why I love every aspect of it.
