Hello, Fashionistas/os! My name is Daniella Zoeller and I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I just finished my second year at Ohio State University where I studied Strategic Communications with a minor in Fashion and Retail Studies. This fall, I will be attending Loyola University Chicago where I will continue to pursue my love of PR and fashion. This is my first semester writing as a Style Guru and I am thrilled to be a part of such a passionate, fashionable community!
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for fashion. I have been dressing up and styling others since I was a little girl; unfortunately for my younger brother, he was my first victim (sorry, Eric…). Ever since, I have enjoyed playing dress up every day. Truthfully, my style constantly changes. One day I dress like a punk rocker and the next day I am a bohemian princess. This is because fashion is truly the most expressive outlet for me and it changes along with everything else in my life.
I like to mix different styles together to get a perfect look. For instance, mixing hard, edgy pieces with girly details is a common move for me. In this look, my pink Michael Kors purse softens the rest of my darker ensemble. Some of my other staples include statement necklaces and booties, particularly Jeffrey Campbell booties. I fervently believe in the philosophy that you can never own too many pairs of shoes (or black for that matter).
When I am not out photographing Fashionistas/os this summer, you will probably find me playing with my four dogs, reading my favorite magazine, NYLON, engaging in some form of exercise or pinning on Pinterest with a Diet Coke in hand.
One of my favorite quotes is by Bill Blass, he says: “Style is primarily a matter of instinct.” This could not be truer and I cannot wait to discover some amazing style fueled by unique individual’s instincts. Sit back, relax and get ready for a fun summer filled with some inspiring fashion from Milwaukee!
