Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be back with CollegeFashionista for my third semester! It’s been a year since I became a Style Guru and I am so grateful for the experiences I’ve had thus far. Being a Style Guru has enabled me to explore a new genre of photography. On my international travels over this past summer, this internship is what gave me the confidence to approach and photograph a Fashionista whose style intrigued me.
For the past two semesters, I had been featuring Fashionistas and Fashionistos from the SUNY Oneonta campus. But starting this semester, I am officially a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I’ve always felt at home in Manhattan and it has been a lifelong dream to officially call it my home. I’m looking forward to exploring more of Manhattan and of course, scoping out new article and Insta worthy photo spots!
It’s been a mild winter thus far so rather than chunky sweaters, most of my outfits have featured layers. This check print coat has been my go to. It provides just enough warmth for the cooler weather while not containing the heavier weight of a real winter coat. If you’re going for a more oversized look a pair of boyfriend jeans will be the perfect match. One wardrobe piece that I’ve been dying to add to my winter collection this season is a camel coat. It’s a great color that is definitely on the come up.
I can’t wait to see where my transfer to the Fashion Institute of Technology takes me. I’m especially looking forward to being closer to family and friends and hanging out with other NYC Style Gurus!
