Hi! My name is Danny Bracy. I am a sophomore at Hunter College majoring in Psychology (Neuroscience). Although I am studying science, I do have a passion for fashion, photography and art. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista, and I am really excited!
I wouldn’t say I have a specific type of fashion, but more of a mix of many different styles. I can look like GQ one day, hipster another day, or wear streetwear another day. I have a love for long T-shirts, skinny jeans and most importantly hats. I feel that having a versatile wardrobe is best, as you can experiment with many different styles, or make new ones.
My passion for fashion has been fully established within the past two years. I have lost a lot of weight in the past two years and really wanted to look good. I started reading magazines and going into stores and looking at clothes, trying them on and experimenting with what looked good and what didn’t. Last year, I also began working at Forever 21, and even got some visual merchandising and marketing experience. Being a visual merchandiser taught me textures (chiffon, linen), styles (bohemian, trend, grunge/edgy) and how to build an outfit. This information made me fall in love with fashion and the complexity of it. I hope to run my own fashion line, and maybe even be a personal stylist one day now as a result.
I am thankful to join the CollegeFashionista team. I hope to gain a lot of experience in writing and even more in fashion.
