Hey there! My name is Darby Hoffman, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison double majoring in Journalism & Mass Communications and Gender & Women Studies. On campus, I DJ at the student radio station, write for a student-run fashion and lifestyle magazine and promote social justice through the campus women’s center.
Otherwise, I live to be inspired. Whether it is scrolling through my carefully curated social media feeds or exploring the world around me, finding the world’s hidden beauty is what makes me my happiest and most productive.
I like to express this creativity in a multitude of ways; writing, crafting and, of course, fashion. The only word that truly describes my style is “eclectic.” The type of outfit I am in the mood for changes every day. Whether I am feeling sporty or preppy, casual or classy, boho or modern, I am one Fashionista who refuses to limit herself. For now though, I am really enjoying the timeless look that dark, skinny denim and a light, airy crop top creates. It gives a classic feel that I love and pairs well with my favorite cognac mules.
