Hello there fashion lovers! My name is Darien. I am a senior at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland. (That’s right—a senior, almost done!) My major is business communication. Picking this major at my university allows me to dibble and dabble in many things and doesn’t limit me to just one thing that I can do in my future endeavors. I am super excited for this opportunity to be a Style Guru; this is my first time doing this, and the experience has already been amazing. *Grabs tissue*. These are tears of joy people, don’t worry.
After I graduate from Stevenson University, I plan to move to Los Angeles to get my master’s degree in acting for film at the New York Film Academy-Los Angeles. This has always been my dream, plus who wouldn’t want to live in LA after a stressful four years of college? Plus, I am prolonging my education. (Which is what I told my parents so they could be on board with the big move.)
Now for the fun stuff! My style, which brings and shows many different moods. Some days I want to be feminine and be “on-fleek”, but other days I am more like a tomboy with my own unique street-style. Or sometimes it’s just a combination of both. Which you can see in a little snippet of both styles in the pictures above.
The pieces that I am wearing consist of a denim ripped jacket, long-hoodie/sweater, and knee-high boots. You can always make a dress-down look, look dressed-up and edgy. For accessories, which absolutely makes an outfit stand out more, I love to have an edge in my style. My accessories include a glitter choker (is anybody else in love with chokers?) and just some edgy sunglasses.
