Hello everybody and welcome to my first ever article as a Style Guru at CollegeFashionista! I’m Deanna, a current sophomore at the University of Central Florida (located in Orlando, FL). I’m studying both marketing and mass communications in hopes to become a media buyer in the advertising world. I’m a sucker for all things desserts, Xfinity On Demand and Boston Terriers (specifically my pup Missie).
As a youngster, I was addicted to dressing up. Whether it was with my neighborhood friends, or just playing games online, I always had an eye of arranging outfits. Being the third daughter in my family, I had no other choice than to deal with my sisters’ hand-me-downs. Because of this, my creativity blossomed. I was able to make an old, used item, into something stylish and individual, which inevitably molded what my fashion persona is today.
Even though I am 19 years old and “legally” considered an adult, I still love to add childish elements to my outfits. From pinafore dresses, to puppy-dog printed tees, to dungarees; I’ve transformed my childhood favorites to compliment my maturing style. My favorite places to shop would have to be Topshop and ASOS (queue my wallet’s tears). My outfit today is a perfect example of what my fashion sense truly resembles. I got these amazing Woodland Print Overalls from Topshop. The overalls make a statement while still being girly and classic. Underneath, I wore a simple, fitted ribbed teeshirt that is also from Topshop. Accenting the floral print, I paired my outfit with these adorable muted pink loafers from Forever 21 (a similar pair can be found here). To tie off the outfit, I added minimal gold accessories such as my initial “D” earrings from American Apparel, and gold band ring from Forever 21.
