Hi fellow fashion lovers! My name is Demaia Coleman and words can’t describe how excited I am to be a Style Guru! I am a freshman and I attend Eastern Michigan University. I am majoring in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising while minoring in Journalism. Fashion is literally the air I breathe. Fashion has been my life since I was about 10 years old. The best part about fashion is that everyone can see different things and that’s what makes it so exciting. I’m so ready to share the fashion world with you the way that I see it.
Photography, fashion and writing are a large part of my life. It is sort of my connection to the world. This gives me the courage and the expression to show who I am and it gives an idea of who others are as well. Aside from writing for CollegeFashionista. I also have my very own fashion, style and lifestyle blog called “Dee Thinks Pretty”.
I am without a doubt a girly girl. I love all things pink and anything with rhinestones catches my eye. My style is very girly and bright. I really love bright colors and powerful prints. I just recently started wearing crop tops. I didn’t use to wear them because I had problems with my body, but I’ve accepted that now and embrace it. I love mixing items up and sometimes wearing a girly blouse with a really cool pair of sneakers. I wouldn’t really call myself in love with sneakers, I just love shoes. Some days, I have to have heels and some days, all you will catch me in is a pair of Converse.
I can’t say that I have one specific store that’s my favorite. I just love shopping. I am well known to shop in one store and find the perfect top, then locate the best accessories days later at a completely different store. Out of my closet, I enjoy really great denim. You can never go wrong with a good pair of jeans. I love to accessorize with a really good chunk chain. An iconic piece of mine is the chunk chain charm necklace from Juicy Couture. I also love wearing the matching chunk charm bracelet with the necklace.
