My name is Demery Weeks and I am so excited to finally be able to show all of you what fashion and beauty mean to me. This is my first semester being a CollegeFashionista intern and blogger! During my journey here I hope to be able to connect my passion for fashion and style, through my own personal brand, to you all! I have always believed when you dress great you feel great. Confidence is very important when you’re in a competitive field, especially during college.
I studied abroad in Europe this past summer and went to some amazing countries. The colors in Barcelona to the sheek ready to wear street wear in Milan and Germany. The styles, colors and fabrics that I was immersed in over the course of those few weeks were not only elegant but very chic. These contrasts are what inspired this look for me. The shoes I have on, I purchased from a small boutique in Italy along with the pink bag that has slowly become my new favorite. This look is very easy and can be warn as business casual, date night or a meeting at school. The Jeans in this look give it the casual street style that i love but the clean white blazer is what ties the look together as a professional and classy vibe.
In terms of getting to know me a little better,  I am a current junior at the University at Albany studying business administration with a concentration in marketing and finance. It sounds like a mouthful but with this degree I have aspirations of becoming a successful executive director or editor of a fashion magazine, such as Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar.
A couple of my favorite #RAD things are signature pieces. Purses, handbags, sunnies, and shoes are my favorite things that can make or break an outfit. As I said before, I spent the summer studying abroad in Milan, Italy. And ever since I was younger I had the travel bug. I saw some amazing things all over Europe. from Germany, Paris and Switzerland to the hot summer sun in Barcelona. I saw and shopped at some of the most beautiful store fronts from luxury designers such as Zadig and Voltaire, to Zara and Pull and Bear. I will show you more of that #StyleGuruLove in next month’s blog post on my “Fashion from Abroad” issue. Make sure to follow me to not miss out!
I would describe my personal brand as fun, flirty and classy so for the next couple months follow me on this fashionista journey through my fall semester in the small city of Albany, NY!
