Hi! I am Dericka Stinchcomb, a sophomore multimedia journalism student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. This is my first semester as a Style Guru, and I am extremely excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista. My passion for writing began when I was a young girl, and it has been evolving ever since. Also, I have been interested in lifestyle, beauty, and fashion for as long as I can remember. So, with that being said—what better way to combine my love for both fashion and writing than to write for CollegeFashionista?
I’m all about living life to the fullest and looking good while doing it. I have had my cosmetology license since May 2015, and I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. When it comes to beauty, I change my hair more than Rihanna, but I like to keep a more natural/little-to-no makeup look. On the other hand, my fashion is a bit all over the place. Most days I give street vibes, but other days I give classy vibes; every now and then you might get lucky and see me mix the two. When it comes to inspiration, I am pretty much self-inspired. However, I do like SZA, Charamon, and Rox Brown’s style.
To achieve this specific look, I wore a burnt basic rock T-shirt, customized vintage GAP high-waisted blue jeans, and some basic Sk8-Hi Slims. Also, I gave the outfit a little more flavor by sporting a black lace choker as well as diamond earrings to complement the top. This outfit is definitely me on a typical street-vibe day. I’m looking forward to keeping you all updated on my latest posts. Don’t forget to follow my social media accounts—I’d love to stay connected!
