Greetings, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I am Desiree Coles, a graduating senior at the illustrious Howard University, also known as the “Mecca.” I am a marketing major and an aspiring influencer of the fashion industry. Although this is my final semester of college, this is also my first semester as a Style Guru!
My passion for all things creative and fashion related was established in high school where I took fashion, sewing and photography classes during all four years. My style honestly varies from day-to-day. One day you might see me in an extremely distressed pair of jeans with rugged boots or one of my favorite pair of tennis shoes. The next day you’ll probably see me in something like what I am wearing in these photos. No matter what day you catch me on, know that my style is low maintenance. I don’t mean that there was no effort put into the outfit, but that the way it comes together appears effortless. Multiple wardrobe changes throughout the day are not ideal for me. I would rather go from day to night only changing my shoes or jacket. You can almost never go wrong with black and pieces that can easily mix and match. My black kimono is one of my favorite items for days when I don’t know what to wear. Pointy toe ankle boots are a guaranteed statement shoe at the moment and offer an impeccable contrast with my outfit and red shoulder bag.
I’m glad all of you got to hear a little bit about me. I can’t wait to show the CollegeFashionista world why Howard is still one of the best dressed colleges!
