STYLE GURU BIO: Eileen Salazar

Guess who’s back…me! I am so excited to announce that I am returning again to the CollegeFashionista team. Being a Style Guru taught me so much last semester that I can’t wait to see what is in store this time. I got some valuable insight in what it takes to run a successful website that it inspired me to finally launch mine: The Tomboy Chronicles.

The Tomboy Chronicles will be the modern day tomboys go to place for all things fabulous including weekly outfit post, artist to watch, weekly vlogs and so much more. If you are interested go to thetomboychronicles.fashion to sign up for the newsletter and stay up-to-date with what is going on in my life.

Now to the reason you all clicked onto this article: the outfit.

Have you every had a day where you really just don’t want to wear pants? Like no matter how amazing your outfit is you just can’t see yourself being comfortable all day in a pair of jeans? But the dilemma is that you don’t want to be mad girly? That’s where the T-shirt dress comes in.

This has to seriously be one of my favorite outfits. I’m all about being bumtastic where my outfits never look like I did too much, but they are definitely popping. My avid readers know that I LIVE for a good T-shirt dress. They are literally the best things ever designed for the modern day tomboy! I’ve pretty sure I’ve worn this dress more times than I can remember, but my favorite way is always with a pair of colorful sneakers.

This particular dress stops mid-calf, but since it falls weird, I always tie it up. It’s a simple black and white striped dress, so it goes perfect with any color high-top sneaker. I hadn’t worn my Dunks in a while, so it was essential to wear them this go around. The Nikes are black and white zebra with seafoam green laces and a magenta swoosh.

I was aiming for a tomboy-chic look, so I added my denim baseball cap. I knew I would definitely be running all around campus, so my Goyard laptop sleeve was the perfect accessory to add more color. The final touch was the silver choker bringing the look all together.

I know you’re probably wondering why I’m wearing this in 50-degree weather but shoutout to global warming because it’s been in the high 60s all November and December. For those colder days, you could add a black leather jacket, switch the sneakers for Dr. Martens and wear a gray beanie.
