Hello all! My name is Elena. I go to the University of North Texas, and I am a senior public relations student. In my opinion, one’s individual sense of fashion is a window to the very core of their being. That being said, I am thrilled to be a part of this group of CollegeFashionista Style Gurus. Writing is perhaps my favorite thing to do—so I think it only makes sense for me to be here.
Classic, feminine, and casual are three words I would choose to describe my personal sense of style. I live for the simplistic, timeless pieces. My closet is full of well-loved clothes because I like to be able to wear the threads I love all year round, and I will find a way to do so! I think that the way someone presents themselves is a direct reflection of who they are.
Whether clothes are borrowed, purchased at a thrift store, or bought at a high-end department store, personal fashion is key to success. The clothes we put on when we roll out of bed in the morning are our personal uniforms for the way we choose to live our lives, come meetings and nights out. Confidence and comfort in our threads are necessities to our personal successes. Clothing can be the first way you set your mood and mindset for the day and is not something to be brushed off as a frivolous nothing. So get up, put on your armor, and march onto the battlefield that is your everyday life.
In the words of author Isaac Bashevis Singer, “What a strange power there is in clothing.”
For my look, I paired my bodysuit with some of my favorite pair of high-waisted, light wash jeans. I’m in love with the look of over-the-knee boots, so I put on my favorite pair from Steve Madden. For a final touch, I put on a trench coat and tied a bandana ascot-style, around my neck.
I hope you love this look as much as much as I do. I got a lot more where that came from, so follow me on social media to see more!
