Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Elizabeth Dudas, and I will be a junior this fall at Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising while double minoring in Graphics for Fashion and Interactive Digital Media. I am incredibly excited to share my style with you and be a part of the CollegeFashionista team for the very first time!
My love for fashion began at an early age. I remember as a young girl, I would watch my sister get dressed for parties or whenever she was going to hang out with friends. She always stayed true to herself and expressed who she was through her style. Through the years, my style has evolved to a mix of trendy and classic pieces. You will mostly see me in outfits that combine high and low end pieces. I love to take pieces that are expensive and combine them with a thrift store item or a lower-end brand. You might see me browsing in Forever 21, but then the next day I might be purchasing a pair of Joe’s Jeans.
I also have played sports, particularly soccer, most of my life. It has helped me capture a certain “sporty style” as you will almost never catch me wearing a dress or a skirt and my least favorite color is pink. So, you could say, I am a bit of a tomboy. I think that melding these two styles together truly makes me an athletic-minimalistic girl on the go and a chic Fashionista.
This specific outfit epitomizes my style. I’m wearing a light blush colored knit sweater with short sleeves, which may be the most comfortable item I own (being comfortable is extremely important to me!). The fabric is breathable, and perfect for a warm spring day. On the bottom, I threw on a pair of boyfriend jeans, which are my favorite jeans ever. They have the perfect amount of denim wash and their rips are in all the right places. What I truly find exquisite about these particular boyfriend jeans is the added comfort. On my feet, I have on my favorite taupe Birkenstocks. Again, these are extremely comfortable, perfect for practically every outfit and great for on the go. On my wrist, I have on my silver Marc by Marc Jacobs watch. I am personally not big on accessories, but this adds just a hint of sparkle while being functional and classic.
I am so excited to be a new member of the CollegeFashionista team. I look forward to learning, exploring and uncovering my campus’ style this semester! So, join me every Friday for articles about the latest fashion around campus!
