Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Elizabeth Morales and I’m currently a junior at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. At DePauw, I am double majoring in Psychology and Spanish with a minor in Art History. In addition to wandering around campus scoping out the latest fashions, I am the Co-Campus Correspondent for DePauw’s chapter of Her Campus. I am also a proud member of DePauw’s cheerleading squad and can be found on the sidelines at every football game and courtside at basketball games.
My personal sense of style is constantly changing and evolving as I try out new trends. I generally try to stay clear of fads, but if I do find one that I like, I try to put my own personal spin on it. I have been in love with fashion starting from a young age. I always try to take fashion risks whether that be wearing something completely off the wall or simply adding that one extra piece to be unique. I look at fashion as a wearable art form and I am fortunate enough to show off my creations every day to a public audience.
As winter is now upon us, I have been drawn to wearing more neutral colors–specifically black. Black clothing always looks chic and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your mood. Lately I have been into pairing neutrals with denim including jackets and skirts, as well as the classic high waisted jeans, to go with the ‘90s trend that has crept back up into popularity. I’ve also been obsessed with all pieces of velvet clothing. You can always catch me in a pair of chunky heels to give me a bit of desperately needed height. Finally, to assure that my outfits aren’t totally monochromatic, I always wear my favorite MAC lipstick in the color “Studded Kiss” or add an additional pop of color through my accessories.
