Hello beautiful fashionistas! I’m Ellen Phetsa and I’m a passionate fashion enthusiast and fellow fashion student just like you. I’m currently majoring in fashion merchandising as an upcoming junior at California State University, Fresno. GO BULLDOGS!
For the past two years studying fashion, I’ve only grown to love it more and more. I love following high fashion, but lately found myself having a taste for urban streetwear as well. It’s such a trend nowadays! If I had to describe my personal style in one word, I’d have to say: simplistic. I love the classics that will never go out of style, such as: T-shirts, denim, a coat, sneakers, high heels, a nice handbag and so much more! Don’t get me wrong, I love to go all out and be glam too. That’s where the high fashion part of me shines through. This is why I’m so passionate about fashion, it’s all about self-expression! To be part of an industry that focuses so much on it, as well as the art of the garment itself, is truly beautiful.
Being a college Fashionista might sound difficult, since many people have the assumption that you need expensive clothes to be considered fashionable. Of course that sounds far-fetched for a college student that’s on a budget! So no, that is certainly not the case! You can absolutely keep up with the trends on a budget or rock your own style in an affordable way. Fashion has no rules, so own it. I know my beautifully diverse campus is filled with these fashionistas.
Besides fashion, there are many other loves of mine. Makeup is definitely one of them. I love keeping up with the trends in the beauty industry! I‘ve also been experimenting with photography lately. It’s always been a love of mine growing up, but I recently found myself coming back to it. I just want to take photos of everything nowadays. Hopefully, I get to take beautiful photos when I travel to wonderful places all over the world in the future. Oh, and I love animals too. Who doesn’t, right?
