Hey there, fashionable people! My name is Emily Cole and I’m so excited to have a RAD semester here at CollegeFashionista! I’m entering my sophomore year at The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I’ll be studying Fashion Marketing & Management, Design and Writing.
I’ve moved around a few times in my life, from Boston to L.A. to North Carolina, and each place makes up who I am today. I couldn’t tell you which one feels more like home, but it’s helped me grow as a person and appreciate traveling and other lifestyles. My heart longs to live in a big city, but I will always adore the simplicity of a small town. I grew up with my grandma, who works in the fashion industry and she truly sparked my love for everything that is fashion. Although I want to do many things in life, I would love to become a personal stylist and work for a big magazine like Harper’s Bazaar or Vogue. I write for my blog Poshly Petite and it would be a dream if I could turn it into a career, but regardless, I will always keep writing!
When it comes to my personal style, I would say I’m chic and modern, but you will always see an edgy or trendy flare in my outfits. I’m constantly researching street style and it truly amazes and inspires me. It’s the best place, in my opinion, to see trends come alive. As I’ve gotten older, my style has matured and I’ve realized it’s more about quality than quantity. I’m a total shoe girl and lover of pretty much anything Chanel. Wandering cities, finding hole-in-the-wall places, sarcasm and sipping from something caffeinated are just some of the things I really fancy!
Fall is my absolute favorite time for fashion, so I’m delighted to be writing this fall semester. See you in my next article!
